DENVER, March 11, 2008 — LuciData Inc., a leading provider of internal threat management, e-discovery and computer forensic investigative services and solutions today announced that Jeff Carr has joined the company as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Carr brings more than 22 years of senior level management and sales experience in the computer software and network security market, as well as a solid track record of helping to build successful startup companies.
At LuciData, Carr will help to expand the company’s reputation as a leader in internal threat management, computer forensics and electronic discovery services. He will oversee sales and marketing for all of LuciData’s offices, which include Minneapolis, Denver, Des Moines and New York.
“We’re thrilled to have an industry expert of Jeff’s caliber join our team,” said Jeremy Wunsch, CEO of LuciData. “His long track record of success, coupled with his thorough knowledge and understanding of network security solutions, will further enable us to execute our strategic business objectives.”
Prior to joining LuciData, Carr was COO of Red Lambda, a portfolio company of V2R Group, Inc. that specializes in P2P file-sharing management solutions. Carr was also previously the vice president and general manager of the SIP Solutions Group for Borderware Technologies where he managed all aspects of the business unit, including engineering, product management, marketing, sales and finance. Carr was also a regional sales manager for Netscape Communications and helped to increase revenues in the central sales region by more than $20 million. For the past seven years, he has focused exclusively on early stage startup and network security markets, initially as the first vice president of worldwide sales for Vericept Corporation and then as part of the leadership team with Ciphertrust, a highly successful email security company acquired by Secure Computing in 2006.
